Guys, regardless of the point if N2o made a difference or not, the feat of achieving 500hp on a internally stock block and tranny (except LSD) only exemplifies the point of this car, bang for the buck. This car is highly overbuilt and was engineered to take the abuse that it was obviously gonna receive. DCX put out a very potent car at a economy car price. To be bought and beat on was expected. A very high congratulations to 500HP guy and may the detonation stay away from you. Keep pushing the numbers so we know how much this beast can handle. I have a feeling the numbers will be around 625 before the pistons give way. Sounds familiar to the ol 2JZ doesn't it? That motor is legendary, so will ours be. Best of luck and thankyou for being the guinnea pig!

This is one of the smartest things I've seen posted on the subject yet. He's right-the presence or absence of a power benefit from stray nitrous getting into the intake air stream is irrelevant; the complete stock LONGBLOCK and transaxle can take the power. There are a few domestic v8's I'd hesitate to try that with in totally stock form. You can argue all day long about whether nitrous had any effect on the power numbers, but you can bet one thing-if it did, improved aftermarket parts will be developed that will flow enough for these numbers with absolutely no help from stray nitrous. It's a matter of when, not if. Hell, it may even be that nitrous really didn't make it into the intake air. If so, that would mean that the parts combo they're using now is capable of 500 whp. Either way you cut it, the future looks very bright for this platform.

Thumbs up Congratulations!!

This is awesome news...BTW that DSM owner is a 4g63 fan...the Eclipse comunity is divided between 4g63 powered (mitsu) and 420a (chrylser)BTW the 4g owners have allways gloated on how much Chrysler sucks...well hehe its good news for us the ones who do the frank 2.4 swap ...he might be confused because the ones of us witn nonturbo engines can swap relatively easy (depends how mech. inclined you are) a 2.4 shortblock from a cloud car and use our head on it...using srt-4 internals just like im doing.....now i can be really confident they are a great product...im just now nervous about my tranny hehehe

Keep boosting till they pop!! i want to see 600!!
