Default 2004 brakes on a 2003?

So last weekend I put on new brake pads. I went to AutoZone and when I got home to put them on I saw they didn't fit. So I took them back thinking that AutoZone screwed up and gave me the wrong pads. Anyway, we found out that my 2003 SRT-4 needs the pads for a 2004 SRT-4. So why does my 2003 have 2004 brakes?

Autozone has a fuck up in their system... I do too... They put regular neon pads up front for the SRT pads in their system... As in if you look it up it will be wrong for the 2003... But if you look up a PT cruiser TURBO... Your pad number comes up... It's a glitch in the system...

You could just get the pads online and that would save you some headaches.
