hey guys i used to have a Nokia and i used to love the ringer "espionage" now im trying to get this MIDI ringer to work on my iphone somehow. Any of you smart iphone peeps know how to do this? I'll paypal you 10 dollars if you guys do it :thumbsup:

Anyone else pick this up? I grabbed it yesterday and the gf and I played up to World 4.. this game is INSANE on co-op.. the players bump into each other so you're constantly fucking everyone over... blocking their paths, jumping off their heads, throwing shit at them..

the game gets REALLY hard really fast but some of the fuck ups you get into are hilarious. nintendo really does have something special about the way they make games. cant wait for mario galaxy 2!

With all the new games out right now its I know its hard to stick to one. Since i dont have XBL (console banned) I recently picked up (no i didnt :p) this game AC2. Heres my pre-review so far.
I picks up right where you left off in the first game. Details are vamped up and look great! the Fluidity in movement is 10x better than the first game. So far into a few hours of gameplay im hooked. New story line works perfect with conjunction with the first game.

Highly recommend it for a buy :thumbsup:

The hard drive itself is left untouched - you can place it in another 360, even an unbanned one, and it will still work just fine. You do NOT need to reformat it to regain any kind of functionality. Any installed games will need to be reinstalled for the console you want to play them on. This is normal behaviour and happens when swapping HDDs on unbanned/legit 360's.

Windows Media Centre functionality is disabled. It is still possible to stream video/music content via the video library.

Your Gamertag may be corrupted. This does not mean your gamertag has been banned, you can recover it using any live-capable 360, however ANY ACHIVEMENTS YOU HAVE EARNED SINCE BEING BANNED WILL BE LOST. Your gamertag will be corrupted EVERY SINGLE TIME it is used on a banned console. This means you cannot use your banned console to play backups offline just to get achievements - it wont work, the second you put your profile back on a good 360, it will be corrupted and all progress lost. There is no way around this.

The same applies to game saves - if you access a game save on a banned 360, it too will be corrupted when accessed on a legit/unbanned 360! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! There is no way around this, either.

Your XBLA games and DLC will still be valid, however to play them on a different 360 you will need to be signed into Xbox Live. This is normal behaviour on unbanned/legit 360's as well. They may be corrupted and have to be re-downloaded if you attempt to access them on a banned 360. You can transfer all of your downloaded content to a new 360 here:" -perosnally removed link don't want people hotlinked to XBL but just go to XBL and use the migration tool" note that you can only do it once every 12 months.

So, in summary:
Your Banned 360:
* Cannot go on Xbox Live
* Cannot install games to the HDD
* Cannot use Windows Media Centre extender
* Cannot be used to get achievements from backups without corrupting your profile

You cannot do anything about this, short of buying a new 360.

There may be more functionality disabled than mentioned here, things are still being discovered.

- So what caused my ban?
There are MANY theories as to what is causing so many consoles to get banned this time, however as of yet there is nothing concrete, just a lot of circumstantial evidence and speculation. Please do not add to this, a full investigation is under-way.

Gears of War Impressions

Ok, so I KNEW this was a meathead game, and should have trusted my gut, but a friend of mine bought a 360 and wanted me to play it with him, so i grabbed a copy of it.

So far I'm about an hour into it, and here's what I think:

Worst 360 game I've ever played.

Seriously, I can't fathom how this game sold more than a few thousand copies. It is utterly terrible.

First of all, you're presented with a choice of difficulties and one of them is recommended if "you can make headshots". Ok let's go that route, *I* can make headshots! Oh wait! There's no heads in this game.. every character has a fucking walnut sitting on their shoulders instead. I can shoot heads, I can't shoot a "head" that's smaller than the bullets. I guess this explains why noone in the game bothers to wear a helmet in the midst of coming under fire every 10 seconds .. there's no chance at all that a bullet could hit it.. and they probably couldn't find any of those 25 cent toy capsule machines with helmets small enough.

Secondly.. graphics. Why did they bother drawing textures in this game? Everything is gray. Gray ground. Gray buildings. Gray enemies. Gray sky. Would it kill you to put just a little color in there?

Controls.. absolutely atrocious. First of all, it has the immediate issue of being a console game. It's a proven fact that a console controller doesn't have the accuracy OR enough buttons to properly control a good FPS. For the record, I previously played through Stranglehold which is also a 3rd person shooter and while I was annoyed by the aiming problem, they at least did a good job making cover work and making the controls responsive and predictable. In Gears you are at the mercy of the buggy cover system, where pressing any direction on the left analog can randomly detach you from a wall. ..or not. You never know. And you WILL die a lot because of this.

Gameplay.. nothing exciting at all. Just a series of monster closets. One after another. You have squad mates but they pretty much just get themselves killed to draw you out of cover to revive them. They actually work against you in the regard. Also, chances are they are going to die right next to the cover they were using, but for some unknown reason you can't use that cover while you revive them.

Serisously.. Im flabbergasted that anyone would admit to owning this trash, let alone actually enjoy it. Does it take nothing more than extreme violence to gain the respect of gamers? Ugh.. worst $5 I ever spent.

Unlocked iPhone 3G question

I just got an iPhone 3G and unlocked it. Now, I was wondering if I could use T-Mobile's 3G network with my iPhone (just for talking, not data). Ive had my SIM for over 5 years. When I try to turn on 3G mode now I lose my signal. Anyone know?

The God of War collection releases on Nov. 17th, 2009. It is both God of War and God of War II remastered in 720p, on a single blu-ray. When you buy the game, you also get a voucher to play the God of War III E3 demo. It's 40 bucks, and if you haven't played either of the God of War's this cannot be passed up. They were arguably two of the best PS2 games released. You get a lot of content for 40 bucks! :thumbsup:

I'm growing tired of the limitations with my LG Dare and I am looking for a more smart-phone than an entertainment-phone. I dont mind the windows mobile in the omnia.

So anyways, anyone own one and have any positive or negative feelings about it? I'm stuck in another whole year contract w/ verizon so thats why i'm not gonna shell out mega bucks out of contract on the Omnia II coming out soon. Cnet seems to like the phone...
