Can this work or no? Because Im not sure if I have stock valve springs or not. the guy that owned the car before me put in BC stage 2 cams but im not sure if he put in better springs.

The problem im having is oil burning when i let off the gas and down shifting. So im going to get new valve seals. But im not sure about the springs. Im really tight on cash. What do you guys think??
Thanks

Crower cam specs correct?

Are the crower cam specs found on their website correct?

I currently have a built 2.4 from a stratus in my Shadow that uses a slightly ported/cleaned up head with 2.0 cams. Going off my mph in the 1/4 I'm currently making close to 475whp @ 28psi with 116 octane fuel. A dyno with 23psi and ~100 octane fuel gave me 403@6400RPM.

I would like to build a head this winter to aid in increasing the power, so I'm trying to decide on cams. Looking at the crower specs, it seems that the older heads have a different rocker ratio than the new ones. All the neon cam stage specs put the ratio at ~1.75 (intake and exhaust) for the older heads. When trying to see what the SRT4 rocker ratio is, none of the numbers match between cam stages. So now I don't know whether to take the lobe lift of an SRT4 cam to get the total lift with the 1.5 ratio or back convert from the total lift with a ratio I don't know to find the lobe lift and then reconvert to what I will see with a given cam.

So if the answer to the question in the first sentence is "no", do I believe the lobe lift values or the total lift values? It it's the latter then does anyone know what the SRT4 rocker ratio would be to get the lobe lift? Or am I completely undertanding this wrong?

How many times can you resurface a head??? talking about maybe takin off .005-.007 each time you resurface.

I always heard .001 x number of cylinders is MAX warp. If its over its wise to resurface it.

Just wondering if you average .005 every time you resurface, how much can u take off our head before you need to start lookin for a fresh head?

already resurfaced once, took about .008 off, did not really notice a CR difference.

ok all i have done it COI, BFMIC, Borla CBE. i am planning on getting my head ported and polished. i have heard that i will actually lose power and not gain anything. is it good for the turbo, bad for the turbo, does it really matter, what kinda gains would i be looking at, and if i was to lose power would i have to upgrade the turbo?

hey guys. im in the process of building a wild "street" car for fun and some track use. im buildin a 2.4 for it with a 60 trim on it. here a basic run down of what im planing

-2.4 built with weiseco pistons, rods to be determined
-Amm box manifold
-nice exhaust mani with 60 trim(20-25 lbs)
-rc 1000's backed by either a bosch setup or twin walbro like it is now
-100 percent meth kit
-60 mm tb
-ported head
-no driver friendly options ( ac, ps, heat, )
-mega squirt
-3.55 trans ( yea im a first gen)(wanna buy my 3.94!!??)
-bla blah blah watever else goes with a build

my question is since i am planning on making good power should i stick with the crower3's i have from another project or should i go 2's. i plan to rev to 7500 rpms. car should weigh about 2300 lbs maybe a hair less and im shooting for whatever the fastest i can go is.
