What I've always done with any gauge is wrap tape around the housing if needed to make it fit snugly. I do not like using mounting brackets, makes it too hard to remove. In my case on the SRT4, I have our Interceptors mounted in a dual a-pillar pod, they fit perfectly without needing anything additional.
