naw the skim usually doesnt throw codes. Ive been professionally installing car electronics for almost 5 years and when coming in contact with this problem while installing remote starts. sounds like anti theft, idk thats my two cents. you said the wires for your ipod cable pulled on your ignition wires, check all the wires there should be some smaller gauge wires that go to the skim check em.
