Haha, I had an 84 D-50 5 speed and it was one of the most fun, easily the least maintenance vehicle I ever owned.

I did not change the oil for between 30 and 40 THOUSAND miles, I am not kidding, added a little here and there, but at the time I was in college and I didn't even care (silly I know) but the truck just kept on truckin, despite the floorboards starting to rust out.
