There's a little box double side stickied on the back of the housing with wires coming out. You can cut the wires, remove the box & re-connect the wires. This will run the LED's at full power which is considerably brighter. Unfortunately they will die a certain death as most LED's don't like the heat produced. It also don't provide much wiggle room for power surges which can kill them also.

CCFL's can be installed or the LED Rings like I've done. Both are significantly more money then just some bulbs & require the headlights to be opened up. If there was a better or easier way I would offer it.
