HOW-TO: Prothane Race Motor Mount Inserts

So i just got done installing my motor mount inserts and took pictures along the way.

I'm not sure if someone already has done something like this but hopefully the pictures can help you out, however it was a pretty simple install.

So 1st things 1st. Jack up the car. I only had one jack and no jack stands, but i had plenty of OEM jacks laying around. I used 2 to support the motor. Use wood to distribute the weight.

Remove the bolts on the upper motor mount, and remove the entire mount.

The instructions said to use a knife to cut away some rubber to allow the mount insert to slide in freely. I didn't do that, i just used a hammer and pounded in the mount insert flush.

Installed with washer.

Now that the upper mount is in, reward yourself.

Now remove the passenger wheel. I didn't have any jack stands, so i used 2 jacks haha.

Remove the splash shield.

Now you can see the lower motor mount.

Remove the big ass bolt and hammer in the lower mount.

Bolted up with washer.

Now you can remove your motor supports

Reinstall the PITA splash shield.

All done, go take her for a spin.

And round 2

Enjoy...
