It's not always about hp. The correct power between holding hp and tq across the band and to be able to hook it will get you there. I run alot lower timing for my street tune. No water injection here. Maybe someday.
But it'll run on premium and drives better than new. Power comes on and pulls hard till at least 6500 rpm's. Aem 2 step helps you bang it off the line on slicks also. Got a WOT box now. Gonna put mopar short throw back in. The maddog doesn't always like WOT shifting. But it's a pleasure on the street.
Got a 50 trim here but not sure I'd like the power band. And I want the bottom end built first anyway. They come on all at once and hard. Pistons, rings, rods, and crank strap are my next projects when this economy and stuff equals out.
But I love the 3147 now. Maybe go for a race gas tune. Just load it with laptop back and forth between tunes. Damn summer needs to get here.
Last year's buy was non-modular clutch with steel flywheel. SBC Stage 5x. Great feel and grabs hard. Time below was with shitty DCR clutch. The first one. Lasted 1 track day. Pulled my DCR 2 replacement after they dropped lifetime warranty for no reason. If I can't trust it .. it's gone.
I'm 45 yrs old. Here is a big pic of my beast. It keeps me young.
