Default DCR Custom ProLite Cranks...

Want the best crank for your SRT4! The DCR Custom ProLite Cranks are 14lbs lighter than stock and 2.5 times stronger than stock due to our unique ION Nitride upgrade. We start with brand new OE Crank and do the machining, balance and ION Nitride. These things rev so fast! Rated up to 1500hp and 10,000rpm.

Our cranks are as to true zero and settle for nothing over 1/2 gram. When you get one from us you can easily see the balance spots and mallory added in one key spot to get it to zero. The factory crank is counter weighted for low rpm and cruising speeds. What we did is figure in a wider range and target the upper end rpm without anything being felt in the lower rpm. When you balance these cranks without having balance shafts there is a way to offset low rpm with the smoothiest high rmp. The way it works on inline four cylinders is you get the crank to near zero, then piston weights need to be within a .4-.5 of a gram. Then rods within .5 gram and the ratio between the big end and small end with in .2 gram. If you do this it is good to go. Two is always up and two is always down at 180 degrees so its nothing like V8s and V6s and inline 6s. We have figured in to accomodate up to 1500 grams of total rod, piston, pin, rings, and locks combined keeping it in smooth balabnce. Also on turbo engines because of high cylinder pressures and back pressure there is a constant dampner on the cycles from which that act as a cushion so to speak. Its a whole different concept on hig horsepower normally aspirated motors and blower motors where you remove the buffer of the exhaust stroke and the crank bears the entire forces of the rod piston etc.
