They do make injector stethoscopes, so to speak, for injectors as they do audibly "click" when opening and closing. Alternatively you could be ghetto like my father and jam a screw driver in the well between the plenum and the injectors and listen to the end of it
that is not as ghetto as you may think, LOTS of mechanics do that trick, and any stethoscope is just a glorified version of the screwdriver! you can use a doctors steth too....
