I feel you. I too think that the stock stance looks horrible regardless if the higher offset reduces torque steer and improves handling characteristics. I can't STAND to see wheels that are so far in the wheel well that you can fit your head inside.

I currently have 3mm spacers in the back. I had thrown them on for the hell of it and you can not visually tell they are there. Like Stowaway said, we'd have to go to fairly large spacers to see any difference.

I've been meaning to accurately measure how large a spacer would be needed
so that the wheel would sit flush with the fenders. I think that 1" spacers should be sufficient considering that someone has already successfully done so...





The spacers are in the REAR (hence the flushness). The fronts won't need such large spacers. Probably half the size. Maybe a 15mm. However the problem with that is that you will not be able to use the same type of spacer/adaptor as pictured above because the stock studs would PROTRUDE past the spacer and hit the wheel. You'd have to trim the tips off. Or you can just purchase new longer studs to accomdate the 15mm spacer.
