A non-interference motor only means the pistons won't hit the valves. The valves can still hit each other and bend....so the timing needs to be on and follow the FSM, there are reason's why.

i would love to see a valve hit another valve, not even possible??? Dude i work on dodge all day long trust me if the timing is off it will just run like crap and he will have to do it again.
