and you realize the V6 for both the Camaro and Mustang (and probably the same can go for Dodge camp) is what SELLS these cars and makes them the money. W/O the V6 model the sales would be abysmal. 300hp and 3750lbs should be good for a solid 14sec timeslip...which certainly isn't bad for a BASE model.
