you can not use a calculator for calculating tire height. 225/45-16 tires are actually 23.7" tall. A 225/40-17 needs a 7.5" wide wheel, and in the case of the NT555 is 24.1" tall (which will fit). The Nitto NT555 is an OLD and CRAPPY tire and I don't think you'd be happy with their performance coming from a decent tire on the 16" wheels.
