Question coolant/coolant bottle relocation question.

I just bought my SRT so im not used to the setup, my car started overheating and i didnt know why. so i tried to check my coolant but the reservoir wasnt where the manual said it would be so i believe it was moved to the front driver side of the engine bay. I'm still a little confused to this setup.

I think the coolant bottle should be about where the boost controller is.

but the hose from the radiator cap goes to the driver side to the bottom of what looks like an oil catch can.

my guess would be that the hose coming from the bottle is an overflow in case it got too full....but the hose goes down and would connect to a nipple on the intercooler piping next to the BOV. what is supposed to be connected to this nipple??

Any help to try and figure out what this setup was would be greatly appreciated. I'm stumped and dont want to have a boost leak out of that nipple or connect the hose from the, what i think is the coolant bottle, because it is the right length and would go right on there. Thanks
