While I agree that not having datalogging integrated in with the software would be a PITA, it's not like you can't datalog with a different system. It's not a "tune on the fly" system anyway. You have to make changes then re-flash the ecu with the engine off. This would be a very tedious job for those of us used to just tuning on the fly. However, it's not impossible by any means.

I guess $1k seems pricey but look at what you get to do... reprogram the stock ecu. That is a luxory in my book.
