I explain this shit everday....
Gas mileage claims come from having proper inflation of tires, nitrogen is more stable than compressed air and will loose less pressure over time.
Nitrogen will not cause tire pressures to be affected by tempertature, and will not cause over inflation while drving on a very hot freeway.
Nitrogen is very clean and filtered, and due to no moisture will not corrode rim beads.(IMO best reason to use it)
Anything said otherwise is pure and simply a marketing gimmick.
BTW, I've been explaing this to customers for a few years now, we were the first to use it, and almost all manufacturers use it from the factory, as well as many racing teams. Racing teams also use it on air tools as it is very clean and will make those high dollar impacts last longer. The US military also uses it on a majority of there tires, coming from a friend in the Marine Corp.
And just so you know, compressed air is already 78-80% nitrogen.
