Nitrogen
So, we got a fancy new lil toy at the dealer today.
nitrofill for filling tires with nitrogen.
Claims are better gas mileage, better tire wear yada yada yada. Less air loss.
So i decided to bring my car over to the fancy lil machine, and after much confusion, i got it to purge and fill 3 times lol and like magic, my tires are filled with 98% nitrogen at 38PSI.
Now I usually drive the same way/much of the same destinations often so I'm gonna see how "Well" this effects gas mileage after I fill up today, I usually get 300-320 miles to a 12gallon tank.
any of you guys use nitrogen? thoughts, opinions?
I've read many different things about it, and alot of people say at the amount in car tires it really doesent make a difference cept the fact you dont lose as much PSI often as regular air.
I'm not throwing any buns into this basket yet, I'm only trying it cause I get to fill up for free (screw the intial 40 dollar charge lol) although I did lose an hour of flate rate time trying to fiddle with the damn machine =p so it cost me 20 bucks haha
Tech in the bay next to me said it feels like a smoother ride. Hoped on the highway after, and he may be right, but it also could of been my brain thinking it after he said it.
