There's actually a pretty big difference between the FR500S, which is the Mustang Challenge car, and the FR500C, which is the Koni GS car. The "S" car is a production Mustang with a sealed engine and some basic adjustable suspension. It's deliberately equalized to provide close competition. So far, it's turned out to be a great race series.
The FR500C is a real race car in every sense of the word, including the engine which is much stouter than the "S" stocker. The only thing it doesn't have is a dogbox. It also might have ABS, which isn't a super-racey thing to have, but I am not certain about that.

seeing as I am @75 whp UNDER my maximum allowance for the weight of my car, and I regularly win my events, I would extrapolate from that and take away something alongs the lines of "I'm no slouch behind the wheel". Not boasting my prowess over all that live and breathe, but I have done quite respectably against a WIDE variety of drivers and cars.
Great! Come race with us. There are plenty of OLOA/TT people who have made the move recently. You know who they are. Danny Popp and his pal Jeremy were in my Comp School with me, and Danny won the ST1 Championship. Derek Whitis just finished top-ten in a Grand-Am ST race at Mid-O last weekend. Faisal Ahmad is racing PT and managing a team.... and that's just the people that come immediately to mind. I see a lot of Cannonball stickers on the back of race rigs, and since you run TT on the same weekends, I know you do too.
None of this has much to do with the core issue at hand, however. If you disagree with the article, then state your objection, and I'll be happy to read it. I don't think that's the case, though; I think you're still harboring some kind of issue from 2006. If that's the case, let's settle it privately. It's highly entertaining to the rest of the forum if we sit here and e-thug each other, and it makes a lot of banner ad impressions for our friends on SRTForums, but it's not doing either of us any favors.
Like it or not, you and I run in the same sanction, and that's going to be true for as long as you choose to stay in NASA as a driver. Take my word for it, from personal experience: Making gratuitous enemies on-track is a terrible, terrible idea. The day is likely to come when you and I find ourselves nose-to-tail on the Climbing Esses, or side-by-side going into Turn 9-10 at Putnam Park. When that moment comes, both you and I will want to have an absolute assurance that we are focused on the task at hand, not consumed by anger or resentment. Nothing you or I can write on this forum will put us a single inch closer to running a Daytona Prototype or winning a TT class at Nationals.
I am certain we'll figure out a way to make our "race" work. While we're figuring it out, consider the following: I have a long history of beating other people in identical cars. If I win, will that make you any less of a TTS driver? Will it settle your desire to "show me up" on the Internet? Will you feel that you were treated fairly? Will it settle your anger about the argument Dale and I had twenty-five months ago? What about if you win?
Brian will be in touch with you on Monday.
