You could buy a Harbor Freight 40x48 trailer (make sure you get the 12" wheels) for around $200. slap a half sheet of 5/8" plywood on it and then bolt some cheap lockable rubbermaid boxes from walmart on it. The benefit of this is you can leave one box on it and convert it to carry your wheels/tires and tools/jack/stands/etc to events. I just finished building one a few weeks ago and for ~$300 (plus tags/title) I have all of that done and can easily transport race rubber and tools to events without having to completely fill up the car with junk.
