I remember about 10 years ago at Maple Grove me and some guys bitched because the Honda guys were doing this, I refused to race against a guy, a temporary spare is NOT rated for speeds over 55mph or so.
Track techs agreed and put a end to it.
I was NO WAY running next to someone at 90-100mph while they had a spare on.
