The stock and the AEM solenoids both work in the same manner. In the user guide theres another image describing the internal gate hookup and whether using the stock or AEM solenoid theres a vent.

On the SRT-4 basically the only difference in the hookup between internal and external is that the top port on the external gate gets T-eed into the green line.

Heres how I think it might be with trying to keep things close to stock but using an external gate. If someone sees something wrong post up what and why.
