Just supplying power to the pump wont make it run. You have to ground it by jumping the switch.
What did you "T" into for power? You should go off something that only gets 12v with the key on.
The pump turns on when i plug the power wire directly to the battery. I Ted the power wire of the pump so I could reach the battery from the power wire because the power wire is in my car.
