I have a trunk mount too but its a coolingmist. I just look through my rear window at my wideband and i just keep tapping the connector to the third prong untill i see the wide band go rich. I dont actually plug the connector in and leave it. You can tell when its getting primed up. The pump will start shaking. Make sure the car is on when you try it.

Just supplying power to the pump wont make it run. You have to ground it by jumping the switch.
What did you "T" into for power? You should go off something that only gets 12v with the key on.
