Warn part in clutch release mechanism would be my guess. The pedal adjustment for the clutch master cylinder pushrod is worth trying but seldom an issue, although it's easy to check (also inspect the bracket it attaches to). It would involve removing the trans but you might consider checking the clutch release (throw-out) bearing, the release lever, pivot ball, and clutch assembly itself. After you rule all those out (which I'd bet is where your issue is) would be to crack into the trans.
Try the easy stuff but be prepared to tear into it and get down and dirty if the problem remains.
