I have a CAI that can be run as a short ram. I don't feel any difference between the two. Might notice a few ponies on a dyno, but its negligible. Not worth the risk for me in storm-prone Central FL to run a CAI. Puddles get very deep, very fast in certain parts of Tampa, St. Pete, and Clearwater.
I prefer the short ram over stock box because it clears out a lot of space in the engine bay, and it's easier to access things.
