However no matter how you install the studs, the nuts are on the dangerous side of bottoming out on the shank of the studs. That being said, its common practice that nuts of this design are usually installed with a washer of some sort. The washer also acts a spacer to ensure the nuts actually clamp down and not bottom out.
He has one installed on his car, it works with no problems, trust me. The studs are a little on the long side but I wanted them that way to make sure people had enough room for the install. Looks like they are to long. If you seat the short end all the way tight into the pan, there is 5mm worth of threads left when you are full tight. I have installed 4 of these kits now, all of them are leak free and have no problems. If reversing the threads works better for you, then so be it. I will make a note of that in the kit if people want to do it that way. Hell I will even put the 3 lock washers in all the current kits if need be.
