Dreamrt, I don't believe there's a fuse inside the safc...unfortunately I believe you may have to replace the unit altogether in order to cure that problem.

Matt4082, it may be due to having a faulty tach driver or the wrong one on the car. I want to say the correct tach driver is #8913 if I remember correctly from MSD. Make sure that's the one you're using. Also, which way do you have it hooked up? Are you running it off the tps or the map signal? Map is better to use rather than tps because you can have different loads at the same rpm point depending on how much boost you have at that given point. Example: You can be in part throttle and make 10psi at only 20% throttle, or you can have 10Hg vacuum at 20% throttle, but the safc does not know which one you have. When you tune with map, it'll make it's changes based on boost which means it'll be more responsive to those part throttle situations and no matter what throttle percentage you're at it'll always know how much boost you have and correct for it.
