I'm currently installing my W/I setup and I have some concerns with the placement of my pump:

1) I decided to install the pump in the driver's side fenderwell. However, since I have an AEM CAI, I'm lacking some space to install the pump so I'll put right between the headlight and the foglight. The pump would be mounted horizontally, input from the tank (it's located behind the driver's headlight, fits like the space was left by Dodge to put a W/I tank there ) on the bottom and output of the pump at the top. Is it acceptable? Would the pump have to work too much more to build pressure?

2) Another question: I currently have the 1/4 to 3/8 NPT elbow / checkvalve pair at the output of the pump. However, due to the position of the pump, this elbow is too high. Would it be acceptable to use your "(3/8 NPT Male to 90 degree 3/16 Barb)" fitting at the output side of the pump with the 1/4 hose you sell? The hose seems to be secured tight enough, but I prefer asking than be sorry.

Thanks!

Hi, you can use the barb fitting no problem. I would test the pump in that position. I hate to give a difinitive "yes" or "no". Test it in that position before you make it perminent. Please reply back to the thread after. Typically the pump should be underneath the tank. THe pump can be mounted usually in any position (upside down, etc).
