They do light up the sides of the road a little better, but other than that they are basically the same as stock. Not worth the $50 especially when you can get a brand new HID kit for $72 shipped from vvme.com (that's what I got, now I'm just waiting for them in the mail).
i noticed a difference, especially with the foglights.
He did say he stayed clear of going HIDs without a retrofit because of the HORRIBLE glare they have in our headlights and for the fact their
illegal in halogen housings. To do HIDs properly, buy the shitty halo projectors from ebay/modern or be prepared to spend like $700 on a retrofit (unless you buy the projectors and do it yourself).
