yall are reallly pushin this ebc on it...
if you guys praise it like god, then i spose it is...
ill ask my tuner how much extra is to tune...
there are hundreds of people on here that still run the stock solenoid as compared to the aem....im switching to a aem but the only reason is because when i re do my vac lines there all getting done with an fittings and i can use the aem solenoid for them....
the aem software for boost is easy to tune....basicly the boost map you set everything below zero boost to either 0 or sometimes alittle higher depending on how you want the car to feel in part throttle driving...i set the lower rpm's to 0 and some of the higher rpms it ramps to 10-15% so its easier to climp hills and stuff around here.....but everything above the 0 boost mark you high light the entire boost graph and add in boost till you get the desired boost level you want....its very simple....if you choose to set up the mph dependant boost what you do is...you do the same thing i just described but you try to hit target marks.....say 14 psi in 1st so you find the duty cycle for 14 psi....17 psi thru 2nd.....find the duty cycle for 17 psi....and so on and so on....and make alittle chart showing what psi = what duty cycle.....then transfer that chart into the vss boost gragh....and then set up the boost curve and click the vss boost button to activate that whole setup....and then reak the benifits of finally having some traction on the streets in the lower gears
you can seriously tune it yourself in 30 minutes
you can also ramp the psi duty cycle's on the lower rpm's in the upper boost and stuff to say 60% duty cycle to help spool the turbo up faster
