15psi comes on around 37-3800. i cant figure it out. i have zero fuel control at the moment. EMS is going in soon.
i was figuring...the MBC is backed out ALL THE WAY. so there is no preload on it. can that cause such slow spool? every1 that has this said they are getting 18-19psi at 3500.
i was figuring my cams are too large, but onthedwnlow is spooling his 60-1 to full boost (65lb wheel) at 33-3400 and he has brian crower s3's (similar).
any ideas. im planning on buying a hallman MBC. just gunna buy the best there is, and x it out of the equation. do you think thats it?
i hope! kus this turbo is fuckin killin me.
once it spools tho its beastly. im only boosting to 15psi...prettymuch
straight spring from wg. at 15psi, once spooled, pulls harder than my 3147 at 19psi.
Thats the problem right there (bold). Crank up the boost and you should see much quicker spool times. If not then mess with the intake cam gear only to change the spool time. With your set up you should be able to get the turbo spooling by 3200 RPM. You are at the 500 mile mark so its time to start adding boost. Try 20 psi (if you have the fuel) and get back to us if there is a difference in spool time.
