I couldn't agree any more. It boggles my mind how people see the need to bring their car to a professional for engine work or a brake job, but will not bring their vehicle to a professional to service their 12v system when a misstep in either can be VERY unsafe. I have no problem charging double (and sometimes more) to repair your mistakes. Just because you or your friend hacked a radio into a 94 Civic or you're a mechanic/electrician/MIT professor (my personal favorite) doesn't make you qualified to install anything related to car electronics.

Oh and BTW, after the MIT professor left insisting he could install his radio in his 97 Cavalier() I happily charged him to install it 6 hours later after he couldn't figure out how to take his dash apart.
