not that you every keep your cam that long but i *think* the D40 is prolly good for only 100k shutter releases.
Ah, i gotcha... I actually dunno how to change that.. But i wish i could.. haha. Hmm, let me check.

I figured it out.. Default it wasnt set to change... Now im good to go though.
