Josh - Yeah man I research EVERYTHING,im like a sponge I just soak up all the information I can.I always do my homework before I buy/install anything.Thats just how I am.I just think the reason it popped is because the internals have been through alot and the car not being tuned + the added boost was just the last straw for the little guys.I got 50k miles out of them though, lol.Do you think the stock pistons can handle 400+WHP or is that just what people think?I mean who has actually pushed their stock internals over 430WHP?
Anybody?

chuck_srt made 610hp on stock internals and revved to 7800 (w/ the appropriate valve springs of coarse)
that goes to show what the stock internals can do. he did so w/ an ems tho.
keep your timing low (24* max during spool up, falling to ~20 at redline). thatll help save your pistons from detonation city.
a great set of pistons are only as strong as its tune.
there are TONS of guys running 400+ on stock internals. got a local here doing 480hp on a 50trim, and goes as high as 30psi. all stock internals. 55k on the odo.
if you can afford a built motor, do it. if not, just run all new stock internals (from the crank shaft, all gaskets, bearings, rods, pistons, rings, sealant) it cost me about $580 shipped for all that...
