Am I the only one that really doesn't give two shits about the weight? I think that some of you just have to come to the realization that this car is based off a more upmarket/"luxury"(used very loosely) vehicle built for comfort and practicality. There was no existing sports coupe or chasis that would have made this car economically viable otherwise. Go and buy an elise or an exige if you want a light weight sports coupe(either of which costs more, by the way), not something whose drivetrain alone weighs more than those cars.

Personally, I will buy one for sheer looks alone and secondly performance once the 392 with a 6 speed hits in a couple years. That car will humble 99% of the cars out there when I want it to and look awesome doing it.
