And as far as Honda's go, the 3rd gear synchro on my wife's '07 Civic Si is just about as bad as my SRT's was, and she does not beat on the car at all. I was over on the RSX forums, and apparely a lot of Type S's had problems with 3rd gear.
So the SRT is no worse off than a Honda in that respect :P
my last car was an 03 rsx type s and my brother has a 07 civic si 4dr. both had the "3rd gear wall" we both changed out the tranny fluid for royal purple syncromax and it was gone. i figured since the tranny in the srt is a little notchy that it would clear it up and it did. i would try that in your si and the srt and see how it goes
