Here's a writeup on the Kelly Wintermark Magna Grip HTs. I posted it in another thread but evo wants it here. So here goes:
They are on Stratus 15" steel wheels in the front and are a 205/65R15.
They've been on the car for about a month now. Here is my reaction:
- It states they have a max of around 34psi, I found 30-32 to be too rough of a ride, so I dropped the pressure down to 28, and they ride much better. Not to mention they handle a bit better, they are very stiff tires.
- Noise: a bit noisy on the highway due to their intense tread, but nothing so obnoxious that it would deter someone from owning them. After all, we own loud cars to begin with. My car is quiet, it can be heard over the exhaust, my friend's SRT is much louder than mine and you cannot hear the tires at all.
- We've had minimal accumulation, just icy conditions and quite a bit of slush. So far in the slush, its pulled without an issue, and has had absolutely NO issues in the ice getting up the hill into my driveway.
- I decided to go without studs, and I'm glad I did, they aren't the best for cornering, but they do okay.
- Dry weather they are great, no issues so far with sand, spinning, etc in normal conditions.
- Wet weather, no hydroplaning, no sliding, but a bit of spin on a start-off is likely.
Overall, I like em! I'll give more results when we get more white stuff
