What amuses me so much is that I have yet to ever hear anyone call my car a Lancer. Even if I call it a Lancer to someone in person, they immediately say "Evo". Like someone already pointed out, they are all trims. My car is an Evo, but that's a trim of Lancer. Also, most people I talk to expect my car to be fast. People always assume that I'm willing to beat on my car so I can out launch them as well. No thanks.

I think the main problem is that the Neon SRT-4 still has the complete Neon image. It basically looks like exactly like a base Neon. And regardless of power, it still has the Neon stigma. So no matter what I think SRT-4 owners will continue to get flack regardless of how fast there car is.

If I get beat by a Civic.....I still drive an Evo. Doesn't bother me at all. Same thing with SRT-4's. If I get beat by one then I still got beat by a Neon.

Evo IX MR vs SRT-4Same Evo from http://videos.streetfire.net/video/9d2d5f66-2c10-4696-b785-989301841481.htmSo it DOES have exhaust.

Doesn't bother me whatsoever. Any car can be made fast, so the comment that "It's just a Neon till it beats you" is actually pretty silly.

Also, you win some and you lose some.

Evo IX MR vs SRT-4 Different Race )

So what's the point in getting all pissed regardless of what car is out in front??
