Also the other day I had I cat code because my cat has been removed. When I tried to use the scan gauge to delete the trouble code it would not work. In order to clear the DTC, you must have the key on, engine off. Clear DTC, turn off ignition. Start car and the DTC will be gone (unless the code is thrown again).
