Default PS3 or Xbox 360

Sorry if this is repost but I searched and couldn't find anything--

So with the holidays coming up, I'm thinking about buying either a Ps3 or an Xbox 360. Just wanted your guys opinion on which on I should get. I would also like to know some of the following;

-Which one has better graphics?
-Better game lineup?
-Accesories/Prices?

And most importantly online play. I used to have Xbox live for the original Xbox and liked its simplicity very much, but how is it now? And is Playstaitons online play similar or what?

Also, I heard somthing about a chord which enables you to play your xbox on your PC monitor? Would it be better just to buy that chord, or to buy a cheap LCD tv??

thanks
