Great install review!

1st concern: You can know that the pins are seated if you look at the connectors from the pin side and make sure the one you added is as close to the front as the other pins that are already there.

2nd concern: I think when the Toybox 2.0 starts up, it is on full brightness for 5 seconds. Also, when you push buttons it goes to full brightness for 5 seconds. After that it dims down to your dim setting. The default is fairly bright. It's a setting I found I could read in all light levels. But, there are a bunch of other dimmer settings that get much dimmer.
