Default HID Retro and Daytime Running Lights (FOGS)

I recently got a HID retro kit and got everything all wired in (using a relay and separate power for the HID's)

Unfortunately I am having some problems, I am in Canada so the fog lights come on when the car starts as Daytime Running Lights (DRL).

Well since the HID's are installed the fogs don't come on when the car starts... The HID's do. Regardless of the headlight switch position.

If the car is off, all the lights function properly (go on and off via the switch)

If I plug in a stock headlight bulb, the fogs come on properly when the car starts and all is good.

I have an adapter which plugs into one of the stock headlight harnesses which is what runs the relay turning on and off the HID's It is only using 2 of the 3 wires for the relay (2 seem to be ground and 1 is power)

I looked in the service manual to see if I could figure out how the DRL's are wired in but it didn't even show the fog light circuit, only the headlights.

Any ideas on how I can fix this issue? It's a real PITA as the HID's come on right when the car has just started and sometimes stalls the car.

Help Please...
