Default Toybox 2.0 install

Installed the New and improved Toybox 2.0 today.
The hardest part was finding my soldering gun with the inside to outside wire harness route being a close second.

I mounted the unit on the left side of the dash next to the defroster vent for the side window. I used the 3/32 drill to drill a little hole then found 2 little screws to mount the unit. You can route the harness along the dash and thru the fuse box.

I used about a foot long tie wrap to fish the wire up to the outer body hole then went thru the top of the fender and down the left side underhood to the PCM. It was a line of vision thing so I never took off the wipers or any of that stuff.

Another problem was taking off the plastic covers on the connectors! What a pain in the ass. Chryslers fault not yours. Had a real problem trying to release all 4 of the locking tabs at the same time.

Finding the correct wires and soldering was no problem.

I was a little nervious about finding the correct cavitys for the terminal install but basically if you can count to 22 you've got it. The instructions looked worse than what it is. After I drilled out the back of the connector for the terminals I used the next smaller sized drill to push out the stem fillers.

CONCERN: I was a little concerned because none of the terminals really locked into place are they supposed to? After taping and reinstalling the black plastic covers they didn't appear to move much.

I got done about 8 o'clock tonight and it's raining and really shitty outside so I decieded to set the peramiters tomorrow. Can't test in the rain anyway!

2ND CONCERN: When I turned the ignition on the readout on the unit was really bright! I'm hoping when I program it tomorrow the dimmest setting on the indicator will work better for me cause I do a lot of my driving at night.

Overall the install wasn't bad at all. Lots of little cuts on my hands but that's the price you pay for having so much fun!
