I launched anywhere between 1800-2200 rpm's depending on track conditions and how the car was hooking. I also gently rolled into the throttle which took me a lot of practice to get right because it's very easy to get excited and just mash the gas. There are many other things to consider though, besides just what RPM everyone is launching at in order to cut a good 60'.
These are equally important
1. Practice
2. Good track prep
3. Better than average street tires (Falken Azenis RT-615 for example)
4. Lowering tire pressure some.
5. Upgraded motor mounts and other suspension mods
