The only thing I see the iphone has over this is ipod(which I don't want) and the iphone seems to have longer battery life. BUT, you can buy extra batteries for the x800 and you can't for the iphone.
The new HTC phones still have the 240 x 320 resolution so this x800 screen can show FOUR times more information on it.
I am not sure if it will display flash on the internet and that's what I am trying to find out.
It seems a drawback is that it has 64MB of RAM compared to the HTC 128MB. There are many videos of it on YouTube.
