I'm getting ready to put in the kill switch within the next 2 days. I opted not to get the box because the one I saw was another 70 bucks and I had to lie to my wife about the relocation kit's price just to be able to get it lol. I don't wanna get pwnd by the tech inspectors and not be able to race because of a stupid aluminum box

I'm not POSITIVE, but I think the box is required if it is anywhere inside your passenger compartment. If it was in the back of a pickup (for example) I don't think you need a box, but for the trunk of a car with fold down seats, that is considered the passenger compartment. You can get boxes at Advanced. Just look into the legality of it first.

For those not wanting to relocate your battery to could try this...

only problem is i heard those batteries suck in cold weather.
in cali (where it doesnt even really get below 55*), a local has a hard time starting his car in the mornings, and has to jump start his car.

any resolutions to fix that?

Yup....put an Optima battery in the trunk!
