Someone at my previous job got a modified exhaust ticket. They decided to fight it. Court date was a month or so later. The cop never showed up and the ticket got tossed.
You might get lucky too, some cops wouldn't bother with a bs ticket especially a month or so later since they won't remember you as many other tickets they have given within that time frame. Plus I think when a court date is set is on their day off.
